Steve August

NEMOA President: VP, Marketing - Road Scholar

Steve heads up marketing for Road Scholar, the nation’s largest not-for-profit educational travel organization for adults — a true university of the world — offering thousands of programs in nearly 100 countries and 50 states. Previously, he was CMO at Universal Screen Arts, SVP of Marketing at The Sharper Image, OVP of Marketing at Brookstone and he led catalog circulation at Staples.   Steve holds a BA in Economics from St. Anselm College and an MBA in Marketing from the University of New Hampshire. He's been on the board since 2016 and President of the NEMOA Board since 2020.

Jason Baer

Head of Marketing - Cap Hill Brands
Jason oversees a portfolio of 35 brands in the Baby & Toddler, Toys & Games and Home & Family space under the Cap Hill Brands umbrella   Prior to Cap Hill Jason was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Vermont Teddy Bear & PajamaGram Company bringing a data driven direct, omni-channel direct response business approach.   Jason is passionate about business analytics, direct response marketing, and an Amazon thought leader.  Currently residing in Burlington Vermont, Jason is a father of 2 daughters 7 and 12, an ultra running enthusiast, loves to hike bike and ski and the class of 2008 NEMOA Rising Star! 

 

Shanie Cunningham

NEMOA Treasurer: US Growth Marketing Consultant.

Shanie started at Boden 5 years ago when the US Marketing office first opened. Her job required a focus on retaining the quirk & British in the Brand while efficiently Marketing to an American audience. Luckily, diplomacy is her passion. Having left Boden and gained experience in bringing a British brand to the US, Shanie now leverages that experience in her consulting work for other British brands.

Pamela Higgins

NEMOA Secretary: Senior Client Partner - Oracle Data Cloud

Pamela uses her marketing experience and expertise to consults with clients and help them grow their offline and online businesses. Prior to Oracle Data Cloud, she worked for National Geographic for over 17 years as the VP of Marketing and Circulation for the catalog and online store, where she was responsible for strategic and tactical plans for customer reactivation, retention, and acquisition. She also held positions with Time Warner and Time Life and started her career as a list manager. She holds a BBA degree from The College of William and Mary.

Jackie Marquis

Sr. VP Data Solutions - Epsilon

Jackie is a Senior Vice President and is responsible for overseeing the multi-channel consumer, retail and business and business verticals at Epsilon. In her leadership role, Jackie works to drive strategic initiatives in order to help clients meet and exceed marketing and growth goals. She has over 15 years of experience in direct and online marketing.

In 2015 Jackie graduated from The Leadership Ascent for Women. This year-long executive program focused on enhancing leadership abilities and awareness to positively influence teams and individuals.

Brent Niemuth

Brent has gained a national reputation for challenging industry norms and is known for his strong belief that brands need to be “more human.” He is an award-winning designer and highly sought-after speaker on the topics of creativity, design and branding and has been helping build brands such as Disney, House of Blues, Reebok, Jockey, Orvis, Microsoft and multiple Las Vegas resorts for over 35 years. And he still claims to be the fifth Beatle. J.Schmid & Associates is a leading creative and branding agency specializing in direct-to-consumer marketing.

Dana Pappas

NEMOA Past President: CFO - Plow & Hearth

Dana is currently the CFO of Plow & Hearth, LLC a privately held multi-title direct marketer. Dana joined P&H in 1999 when the company was a wholly owned subsidiary of 1800Flowers.com. He was the COO of the company from 2006-2016. He began his direct marketing career at Talbots and has also worked at J. Jill, Appleseed's and Faith Mountain, all in the Finance and Operations side of the business.

Dana holds a BS in Accounting from Bentley University and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Babson College. He sits on the board of directors as Treasurer of his local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

Neal has extensive marketing experience working in marketing titles ranging from DAI to Oriental Trading.

Brian Rainey

CEO & Co-founder - Path2Response
Prior to launching Path2Response in 2015, Brian served as the President of Epsilon Data until 2012, following Epsilon's acquisition of Abacus in 2007. He held the position of CEO at Abacus Direct from 2001 to 2007. Before joining Abacus in 1992, Brian gained valuable marketing experience through positions at The Sharper Image, Sara Lee Direct, and DFS Direct. Currently residing in Littleton, Colorado, Brian is proud father to his children Lauren and Jayce, both of whom also call Colorado home. Outside of his professional commitments, Brian finds pleasure in activities such as fly fishing, skiing, hiking, and playing chess.

John Rossiter

NEMOA Vice President: Vice President - Lindenmeyr Solutions

John began his career in printing with Meredith / Burda in 1980 working in manufacturing while attending Lynchburg College. Since graduating in 1984, John has worked in manufacturing, marketing, and sales all in the printing industry and has been in New England since 1988. John has participated in NEMOA since 1988 and has served on the Board since 2012. John has served in many capacities over his 20 year tenure with RR Donnelley. A native of Michigan, John has a BS in Political Science from Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Virginia.

Dana Springfield

NEMOA Immediate Past President: Vice President of Marketing - Dover Saddlery

Dana has over 30 years of experience in database marketing working with Garnet Hill, Chadwick's of Boston, Yankee Magazine and The New England Journal of Medicine. Dana is currently VP of Marketing at Dover Saddlery. Prior, Dana was responsible for Yankee Candle's Direct-to-Consumer business unit and the database marketing program for Yankee Candle's 600+ retail stores.
